2021 | Siselen, building application for
multi-family-house
NAN Architektur GmbH was commissioned to renovate a holiday home dating back to 1936, which had already undergone several changes over the years. With a keen sense of the existing structure and in close dialogue with the client, the "Lake House" was further developed, respecting the old structures and creating new qualities. The building was given a large glass front with a lake view and a coordinated color concept inside and out. In cooperation with color consultant Anja Johner, they succeeded in harmonizing the architecture and atmosphere. The precise color scheme conveys a sense of calm and security. 2021 | Siselen, building application for multi-family house
A multi-family house is to be built on the site of an 18th-century farmhouse that was demolished in the 1990s. Its location in the listed, ISOS-certified village center requires particular planning care. Hermann Meyer Architekten, the project developer, and the municipality of Siselen conducted a workshop, in which NAN Architektur was commissioned to develop the design. Representatives of historic preservation, local planning, landscape architecture, and architecture supported the process. The building has two floors and a low-slung gable roof that echoes the form of the old, existing buildings. On the upper floor, there are arcades on both sides, which serve as outdoor areas and access to the small apartments. All apartments are oriented on two sides. The building is planned as a timber construction, with a central concrete core for the elevator and staircase.
